Charlie Allen will discuss ethical dilemmas of targeting killings and General Hayden will discuss the global war against terrorism and the need for international collaboration.

Charlie Allen, a principal with The Chertoff Group and 40-plus year veteran of the CIA, joined ambassadors from Spain and Morocco as well as other former intelligence professionals and scholars as part of the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies “Terrorism: Review of 2010 and Outlook for 2011.” Mr. Allen discussed the most recent attempts by Al Qaeda to attack the United States, radicalization concerns, and the future threat environment we may face in the years to come.

The Chertoff Group provided technical support and served as simulation participants for the Bipartisan Policy Center’s simulated cyber attack on the United States – Cyber Shockwave. Moderated by Wolf Blitzer and broadcasted on CNN, this simulation provided an unprecedented look at how the government would respond to a large-scale cyber crisis affecting much of the nation.
